Complete list of the most valuable and rare yugioh card collection

The most common way that players of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME get cards is from Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster packs.  Each pack contains common cards, which are easy to get, and rarer cards, which are harder to get. There are a number of different rarities—Common, Rare, Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Ultimate Rare, Secret Rare, Ghost Rare, Starfoil Rare, and Mosaic Rare —which all feature a different look to the cards. If you want to know more about yugioh card price and value you can check our post (Where to sell Yugioh cards and what’s their price?). Of course, the most expensive yugioh cards are very special cards because of their manufacturing, print limited and special signs (i.e. signature).

Which are the most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! cards?

  • Tournament Black Luster Soldier: this card was an exclusive award for the winner of the first-ever Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament in 1999. Its value is measured in millions. In other words, it’s simply priceless. The card is printed on stainless steel and is the only one of its kind. The owner of this card has recently asked between $10 and $12 million for it.

  • Signed Japanese Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon: The signed Japanese Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon was awarded to the winner of the 2001 Asian Championships tournament. It was presented to players in a package that was hand-signed by Yu-Gi-Oh! creator, Kazuki Takahashi. After its owner jokingly offered the card for sale on Twitter for around $934 million, a shop in Akihabara, Tokyo legitimately offered it for sale for $421,000!
  • Armament of the Lethal Lords: it has been sold for $9,000 and is generally regarded to be in the $8,000 range in terms of value. It’s illegal to use in official duels and tournaments.

  • Iron Knight of Revolution: This card is extremely rare, as only three are known to exist. A prize awarded in the 2017 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship, only one has even been known to sell. And that card made its owner almost $13,000 USD richer! Cards like this may not be as likely to sell, since most prize-winners would like to keep their trophies. But for someone interested purely in turning a profit, this one is a cash cow. It’s another card that is illegal to use in official duels and tournaments.

  • Special Edition Cyber-Stein: Awarded at the Shonen Jump Championship, and a few thereafter, there are a little over a hundred of these cards in existence. They’ve been known to pop up online for sale occasionally, and one allegedly sold for $7,000 USD.

Which were the prizes at the first Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament?

As we’ve seen Black Luster Soldier tournament is probably the most valuable yugioh card up-to-date. The manufacting of this yugioh card made it one of the most expensive listings in trading card history. Enough to entice Ghost Kaiba to pop his head out of the grave.

But another question is raised, which where the other card prizes at that yugioh tournament?

Second place received, third place received Super War-Lion, and fourth place received Fiend’s Mirror – all of which only saw one of its kind.

The second tournament took place in August, with Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon as the first prize.

Owning any of these stainless steel printed cards is much like the first rare card Yu-Gi ever sees – and owning it yourself is owning a piece of trading card history.

The most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! cards of current META and market.

The cards on these lists are considered to be relevant to the Yugioh competitive meta (check also TOP 5 yugioh Meta decks) and secondary market due to the fact that they are not prize cards from tournaments, and because they are not cards whose price is far higher than any other version of the same card currently in print.
