TOP 5 Meta Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks 2023 – TGC Strategy Player
TOP 5 Meta Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks 2022/2023.
In this article we’ll analyse which are the most top 5 Meta Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks 2022. Which are the most used combination of card during the recent tournaments? We have selected the decks also on the basis of their price (some of them are really expensive). Let’s see together the TOP 5 meta yugioh Decks 2021/2022. In order to create these Meta decks our advice is to buy their respective structure deck (we talked about the best structure deck here)
Adamancipator [August 2021]. Price ~ 1000 $ USD
This archetype revolves around Synchro Summoning and excavating the top cards of your Deck to summon Level 4 or lower Rock monsters. This action of cards excavating by the effect of their Tuners reflects their job as gemstone explorers; they ‘explore’ deep into the ‘cave’ (player’s Deck) to seek for any gemstones they could possibly find (note that the Tuners can Special Summon any Level 4 or lower Rock monsters, not limited to the “Adamancipator Crystal” monsters alone). The Tuners can even be easily Special Summoned from the hand following certain requirements; “Adamancipator Analyzer” may take the first move to Special Summon himself via his “Cyber Dragon”-esque effect, then the player can proceed to further Special Summon the other two “Adamancipator” Tuners, “Seeker” and “Researcher”. Before you excavate any cards through their effects, you might want to use the effect of their exclusive Field Spell “Adamancipator Laputite” first, to guarantee that you will later Special Summon any “Adamancipator Crystal” of your choice for the sake of Synchro Summon.

Dragon Link [September 2021]. Price ~ 750 $ USD
The core elements of Dragon Link can be squeezed into just about any Dragon-heavy theme, or even decks with very few Dragons at all. Christos Georgiou’s build that won the main event at a recent Regional in Cyprus then went on to win a post-event Top 4 playoff as well, and it’s a really cool example of that technique adopting Dragon Link as an engine: Georgiou used Dragonmaids to fuel Guardragon combos that are actually pretty similar to the mainstream Dragon Link decks.
Regardless of what variant of Dragon Link you’re playing, a lot of the cards are going to function in the same ways. Even if you’re playing a more off-the-wall variant like the Dragonmaid deck you’ll need to know how the core cards for the engine function, how they relate to one another and which cards are comparable or redundant. To get you there, let’s break down the card pool and talk about where everything fits in some common terms.

Lost World Dinosaurs [September 2021]. Price ~ 400 $ USD
Yu-Gi-Oh! LCS VI Top 4: Blind Second Dinosaur Deck Profile
In general, for beginners:
Dinosaur-Type monsters are very well supported and high powered, lacking little other than good effects. Back when beatdown strategies were popular, Dinosaur-Type monsters could hold their own, but with the popularity of Synchro Summoning, Dinosaur-Type monsters are generally weaker.
There are two Dinosaur Archetypes: “Jurrac” and “Evoldar” (a subgroup of “Evol”). “Jurrac” is a powerful stand-alone archetype that can hold its own against many meta decks if built and played correctly. “Evoldar” is not stand-alone as it requires the help of “Evoldo” monsters. The archetype is pretty weak although certain cards can function well in other decks.

Crystal Beasts [August 2021]. Price ~ 300 $ USD
“Crystal Beast” Decks tend to have a wide variety of searching options for putting “Crystal Beast” cards on the field, either Summoned as monsters or placed in the Spell & Trap Zone as an effect-less Continuous Spell Card, and they have a couple of extra drawing options to speed up the use of the Deck. Because of these effects working together, “Crystal Beast” users can wind up many cards ahead of their opponent, and the various searching options facilitate the Summoning of “Rainbow Dragon” far quicker than would otherwise be possible. The archetype also supports come-from-behind wins quite easily due to the double whammy of “Crystal Abundance”, which wipes out everything on the field and then swarms the field with monsters from the Graveyard, and the Field Spell Card of the set, “Ancient City – Rainbow Ruins”, gains a new effect for every Continuous Spell Card “Crystal Beasts” you control. The archetype is also somewhat resistant to opponents who use Spell and Trap destruction effects, as a couple of cards can quickly put the “Crystal Beasts” in Spell form back onto the back row from the Graveyard, and the Field Spell Card resists being destroyed itself.

Pure Sacred Beasts [August 2021]. Price ~ 40 $ USD
The Sacred Beasts still work best when you hone in on cards that specifically support each Beast individually. At the end of the day, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames is obviously best supported with traps; the more Continuous Traps, the better. So without watering down the impact that Uria could have, the first deck I want showcase omits Uria completely.
Is that a bad thing? Not at all! With so many new – and I cannot stress this enough – fantastic support cards for the Sacred Beasts, it’s almost impossible to do all three of them justice in 40 cards; you’re “forced” to play so many good support cards that leveraging all three at once is almost impossible. There are lots of valid approaches here, and I’m sure that over time we’ll inevitably see dozens of different “best” Sacred Beast decks with a ton of subjective bias.
The two cards I want to highlight in this build are Awakening of the Sacred Beasts and Cerulean Skyfire, because they’re arguably the most “meta relevant” of the new material. Awakening shuts down all activated monster effects your opponent controls if you have two or more Sacred Beasts on your field, while Skyfire shuts off spells and traps with Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder on board. Yeah, you read that right. My eye twitched reading it myself, and since you only need two Sacred Beasts on the field to open up Awakening of the Sacred Beast ‘s negation effect, one Sacred Beast of the three was superfluous. You neede Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder for Cerulean Skyfire , so it came down to Raviel, Lord of Phantasms or Uria, Lord of Searing Flames seeing the exit. Raviel’s just better by itself in a vacuum, so ultimately the choice wasn’t hard.
