Confirmed new races in F1 Calendar.
Mugello and Sochi confirmed.
The F1 2020 calendar continues to take shape. Together with the official announcement of the first Tuscan GP in history, which will celebrate Ferrari’s 1000 Formula 1 GPs, the confirmation of the Russian Grand Prix was also announced. The Sochi race, unlike the Mugello race, was already initially scheduled in the world championship calendar but was initially left in doubt due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
With the assignment of the ninth round of the season at Mugello, Italy thus returns to host two Formula 1 Grand Prix races for the first time since 2006. That year both the traditional Italian Grand Prix at Monza and the last edition so far of the San Marino Grand Prix, which was held at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola: both races were won by Michael Schumacher, in his last season as a Scuderia Ferrari driver. Also F2 and F3 has been confirmed in the up and down hill track of Mugello.
