On the Way to Circuit of Abu Dhabi GP 2019: Technical preview

The last shoot of this Formula One season is setted in Abu Dhabi. Historically, a wretched weekend for Ferrari (remember Alondo vs Petrov 2010?). Hamilton has the opportunity to match is record of seasonal wins in a season (11). In the middle-field, there’s still hope to gain positions in the Constructor’s Championship (see On the Way – race schedule).

Together till 2021

 Technical Setup & Tyres

The set of compound chosen is the softest one: C5, C4 and C3. The local time of race starts (late afternoon) introduces a different variable in tyre management and strategies: the temperature tends to decrease during the entire session of the race. Despite the very smooth track surface, the energy impressed due to longitudinal force is substancial.

The medium/high aerodynamic configuration obliges the teams to find the best compromise in order not to lose to much in nor the straights or in the more winding sectors.

The last battle bedore the cease fire!
